What is Wheeling Art Beat?

Wheeling Art Beat is a promotional platform for art events and happenings in Wheeling and Ohio County, WV. The Art Beat mission is to connect the wonderful and exciting art in the community with its residents and visitors alike. The Greater Wheeling Area has a talented and vibrant arts community whose work we are excited to share. With world class venues, a professional symphony, dozens of outdoor festivals, educational facilities, and renowned art institutions, Wheeling boasts an impressive quality of life for residents and an enjoyable place for visitors.

On this site, you will find an extensive calendar featuring art and museum exhibits, musical and theatre performances, festivals and events, as well as film and literary happenings. If you are an event organizer who is hoisting an art-centric event in Ohio County, and you would like to list your event on Wheeling Art Beat, please click the ‘Submit An Event’ button in the navigation bar. All events are moderated by a committee of Art and Cultural Commissioners to ensure the calendar provides users with a friendly platform to find events.

Wheeling Art Beat was completed through a partnership with Wheeling National Heritage Area Corporation, Reinvent Wheeling, and the City of Wheeling.

1. Is your event in Ohio County?

2. Does you event focus on an art form?

If you answered yes to both of those questions, then there is a good chance your event has a place on the Wheeling Art Beat website.

All event submissions will be administered by the City of Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission representatives. Commissioners have complete discretion in adding or not adding submitted events to the Wheeling Art Beat.
